FAITH STATEMENT
Inerrancy of Scripture
We believe the Bible is the complete, divinely inspired Word of God and the sole authority for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16–17, 2 Peter 1:21)
The Holy Trinity
We believe in one true God, the Creator of the universe, who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. (John 10:30, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 Peter 1:2)
Creation
We believe that mankind was directly created by God and did not evolve. (Genesis 1–2, John 1:3, Colossians 1:16–17)
Mankind Created in the Image of God
We believe that God created mankind in His image, as male and female. (Genesis 1:26–27)
Fall of Mankind
All people have sinned and are guilty before God (Romans 3:23), resulting in separation from Him and the consequence of eternal death (Romans 6:23). To reconcile us to Himself, and out of His love for us, God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment for our sins (Romans 3:25) by dying on the cross. (Romans 5:8, John 3:16)
The Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man (John 10:30), was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:24), lived a sinless life (2 Corinthians 5:21), died on the cross, rose on the third day (Luke 24: 6 – 7) ascended into heaven (John 20:17 – 31, 51), and is seated at God’s right hand. We await His return, when He will establish His eternal kingdom in a new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 21:1).
Salvation Through Grace
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through repentance, faith in Christ, and accepting Him as our personal Savior. Salvation is only through the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. (John 1:12, Ephesians 1:7, 2:8–9)
Forgiveness of Sins and Eternal Life
All who believe in and receive Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as their Lord and Savior are forgiven and granted eternal life. (Romans 6:23, Acts 16:31, John 3:16)
Definition of Marriage
We believe that marriage is the union of one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24), as ordained by God, and that any deviation from this is contrary to His Word. (Matthew 19:4–5)
Biblical Conflict Resolution
We believe conflict should be resolved according to Matthew 18:15–17:
1. Address the issue privately with the individual.
2. If unresolved, seek resolution with a small group.
3. If still unresolved, bring the matter before the entire group.
Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that God is the giver of life and that all human life is sacred and must be protected. (Genesis 1:27, Job 12:9–10, Psalm 139:13–16, Exodus 20:13).
